William C. Jensen

Of Counsel, Transaction Section

Bill Jensen has seen a lot of change in Denver’s real estate market during the past 30 years. In fact, as an experienced real estate attorney, and vice chair of the firm’s real estate group, he has actively participated in the evolving landscape as counsel for owners, developers, and investors in some of Denver's larger development projects.

Bill’s experience encompasses all aspects of real estate law, including acquisition and development, disposition, lending, leasing, and purchase and sale transactions. From handling the sale and purchase of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, multifamily projects, and raw land, to representing client condominium projects in Denver’s urban neighborhoods and ski resort areas, Bill’s hands-on approach helps clients negotiate their way through land use, financing, leasing, entitlements, condominium documents, homeowner association agreements, and other complex real estate issues. Beyond development, Bill has advised both office building owners and tenants regarding leases.

In the last few years, as a result of increased neighborhood revitalization and renovation within previously neglected districts, Bill has worked extensively in the affordable housing field concentrating on traditional construction, historic renovation, construction and permanent financing, and housing tax credits.

Within the realm of municipal finance, Bill has represented public entities in issuing, refunding, and restructuring public debt, and has advised them on related issues such as permitted investment procedures, ballot issues, and intergovernmental agreements.

Bill’s real estate expertise is at work in his community. He is director of REDI Corporation, a nonprofit corporation working to develop special needs housing in Denver. As a Director of the Golden Triangle Association, he has led rapid development and helped attract businesses that have created jobs and strengthened the Golden Triangle neighborhood and Denver’s economy.
