Shannon’s extensive litigation experience and understanding of the business realities clients face in today’s economic times drive her relationships with her clients. Shannon focuses on understanding her clients’ goals, which allows her to work hand-in-hand with clients to achieve their goals, whether that path is through negotiation or the courtroom.
As a member of Moye White’s trial team, Shannon provides representation in high value civil and commercial litigation, lender liability, officer director liability, construction defect cases, land disputes, employment, and insurance defense matters. Her tenacity and fierce representation of her clients’ interests has resulted in numerous victories both in and out of the courtroom. Her clients include banks, title companies, developers, contractors, employers, officers, and directors. Shannon has enjoyed considerable success representing her clients in a variety of complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
Shannon’s background in construction, real estate, and product liability litigation uniquely provides value to expanding franchise and distribution systems. Franchisors and distributors are constantly confronted with real estate and construction issues that crop up with each new outlet being built. Shannon’s expertise in Colorado real property, title, and lien law allows her to clear title to property and keep the client’s project on its critical path. Shannon’s years of experience of litigating and resolving construction disputes also allows her to interact with a contractors and suppliers to avoid costly disputes.
Shannon defends manufacturers, distributors, shippers and suppliers in all types of personal injury, property damage, and economic damage litigation. She has expertise in negligence, wrongful death, and strict liability claims. She defends claims made against manufacturers and distributors concerning defective products or dangerous products. Shannon also defends shippers against personal injury and wrongful death claims related to train and truck accidents.
Shannon offers valuable representation to metro-Denver employers in the areas of workers’ compensation, workplace discrimination, labor relations, wrongful termination, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, and ADA compliance. She also has served as a CLE Faculty Speaker on the topic of Workers’ Compensation.

- Gore Trail at Wildernest Association v. Gore Trail at Wildernest LLC, a Colorado Limited Liability Company, Emers Construction, Inc., a Colorado Corporation, John Does 1-25, Summit County District Court Case No. 01CV437, successfully represented homeowners association in obtaining multi-million dollar settlement in a complex construction defect action.
- First Horizon Merchant Services, Inc. v. Thoma Cressey Equity Partners, Inc., a Delaware Corporation; TC Partners VI, LP, a Delaware Limited Partnership; Thoma Cressey Fund VI, LP, a Delaware Limited Partnership; Carl D. Thoma; D. Christian Osborn; Robert L. Manning, Jr.; and John Martinen, District Court for the City and County of Denver, Case No. 2002CV3831. Part of trial team that obtained complete defense judgment for company and the officers/directors of the company against Plaintiffs’ claims of breach of contract (alter ego theory); fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.
- PHM Financial Incorporated d/b/a Professional Home Mortgage v. 1950 Logan LLC et al., District Court for the City and County of Denver, Case No. 2006CV8422. Obtained complete defense judgment through motion for summary judgment thereby dismissing the claims of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty against title insurance client.
- Asphalt Paving Co. v. Humboldt Int’l Services, LLC, Adams County District Court, Case No. 2008CV972. Obtained judgment in excess of a million dollars for Plaintiff client after week long trial.
- Colorado Business Bank v. Mark Jackson and Ted Jackson, Denver District Court, Case No. 2009CV5033. Obtained summary judgment in favor of Plaintiff client in excess of two million dollars on breach of contract case while successfully defeating counterclaims against the Plaintiff through application of Colorado’s Creditor Act Statute of Frauds.
