For Lorri Salyards, life is not a track meet, it’s a marathon. An experienced business professional, Lorri understands that strategy, preparation, and clear direction will always win in time. As Executive Director of Moye White LLP, Lorri participates in strategic planning to ensure successful ongoing firm management and operation.
Lorri offers practical solutions and direction to effectively address day-to-day challenges and long-term business initiatives. An experienced leader with a results-oriented mentality, Lorri administers firm business policies, establishes procedures and best practices, and develops guidelines for Moye White’s attorneys and staff with ethics, integrity, and vision in mind. She is integral to all decisions regarding the firm’s long-term operation and compliance.
Lorri continually hones her skills through educational opportunities provided by the professional organizations of which she is a member. Not only a student of these organizations, Lorri also is an instructor, presenter, author, and consultant.
An experienced and dedicated professional, Lorri is one of a small number in the country to have achieved the designation of Certified Legal Manager from the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). The ALA’s rigorous certification process is based on demonstrated competency in 47 critical areas of effective law firm management. These proficiencies encompass general management, including strategic planning and daily operations; financial management; client services and marketing; information technology; human resources; and management of equipment, facilities, and office services. Founded in 1971, the ALA is a highly respected, nationwide organization that provides support to professionals involved in management of law firms, corporate legal departments, and government legal agencies.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Lorri served in roles as Director of Administration and Director of Human Resources for two other law firms. She has more than 20 years of experience in management of law offices.
During her free time, Lorri enjoys traveling, exercise, and spending quiet time with her sons. She volunteers for many civic causes, including Race for the Cure, Goodwill Industries, and efforts to assist businesses affected by Hurricane Katrina.
