Julie M. Murphy

Attorney, Trial Section

As a member of Moye White’s trial section, Julie represents clients in federal, state, and administrative forums on various environmental, governmental, and administrative law matters. In addition to a robust litigation practice, she represents clients through related appellate proceedings. Her focus on environmental and natural resources law stems from her educational background in biology and natural resource management. This has given her the skill set to understand both the science and the legal issues presented in many environmental or natural resource disputes.

Though an avid litigator, she is committed to evaluating all options available to resolve a dispute. Julie knows that there are many approaches to solving her client’s problem and works collaboratively with a team of clients, experts, and other attorneys to find the best strategy.

Julie has experience representing clients litigating issues relating to environmental use permits, water use permits, air and water quality, and mining. In addition to her environmental and natural resource experience, Julie has experience in general commercial and real property disputes. Examples of her cases include private property rights, scope of easements, complex construction foreclosures, special taxing district foreclosures, contract and purchase agreement disputes, and construction liens.

Julie is a Denver native that spent the first few years of her practice in Florida, litigating and appealing similar issues. She spends her free time enjoying the Colorado wilderness, scuba diving, traveling, or watching baseball.
