Joshua P. Kweller

Attorney, Trial Section

Measure twice, cut once - that's Josh's motto. In the law, preparation is everything; you don't often get a second shot. Through proper preparation, Josh ensures that he has analyzed his clients' needs from every angle so he can more effectively and efficiently represent their interests.

Josh’s practice focuses on general litigation matters, with an emphasis on the environment and natural resources. He assists clients with all phases of their litigation, including due diligence, electronic document management, depositions, pleadings, motions, settlement, arbitrations, and court appearances.

Josh has published numerous writings, including co-authoring the Federal and California Environmental Law chapters of Thompson-West Business Deskbook and co-authoring the Pretrial Motions chapter of Cultural Issues in Criminal Law.

In 2007, Josh earned a Master's degree in Natural Resources, concentrating in Resource Ecology Management, during which time he co-authored Sanctuary Advisory Councils: A Study in Collaborative Resource Management.

Josh is an avid outdoorsman whose hobbies include hiking, skiing, backpacking, and running races. On weekends in the fall and winter, he can be found cheering on the University of Michigan Wolverines football and basketball teams to victory.
